Poetry Month: Comedian Illustrated Poems on Identification

For Nationwide Poetry Month, we requested three poets — Diana Goetsch, Karisma Worth and Sally Wen Mao — for a poem with reference to id. We then requested three artists — Margaret Flatley, Anjali Chandrashekar and S. Mirk — to translate the poems into comedian illustrations. This collaboration between writers and artists makes for a novel visualization of poetry, with each line (staying true to unique line breaks) drawn out in phrases and sketches, coming collectively in a cohesive sequence of comedian panels.
