Actor Michael J. Fox was identified with early-onset Parkinson’s illness in 1991 when he was simply 29. In an interview with “CBS Sunday Morning” anchor Jane Pauley, Fox, now 61, says coping with the incurable illness is getting tougher, and he cannot think about residing till he is 80.
The revealing and emotional interview will likely be broadcast on “CBS Sunday Morning” April 30 and streamed on Paramount+.
In a wide-ranging dialog, Fox talks with Pauley about his life at the moment; the latest breakthrough in analysis introduced by his basis figuring out a genetic biomarker that might result in earlier analysis; and the way, with gratitude, optimism is sustainable.

FOX: I had spinal surgical procedure. I had a tumor on my backbone. And – and – and it was benign, nevertheless it tousled my strolling. … After which, began to interrupt stuff. Bro, broke this arm, and I broke this arm, I broke this elbow. I broke my face. I broke my hand.
PAULEY: Falling on issues?
FOX: Which is an enormous killer with Parkinson’s. It is falling … and aspirating meals and getting pneumonia. All these delicate ways in which will get ya’. … You do not die from Parkinson’s. You die with Parkinson’s. So – so I have been – I have been serious about the mortality of it. … I am not gonna be 80. I am not gonna be 80.
